Speaker Series: The Dallas Arboretum, Gardens, Flowers and Art

Dave Forehand has served as the Vice President of Gardens at the Dallas Arboretum since August of 2000. He has overseen the maintenance and care of the 66 – acre intensively managed garden and has been instrumental in the design and construction of new garden spaces. During Dave’s tenure, more than a dozen new signature gardens have been completed, including The Trammel Crow Visitor Education Pavilion and Gardens, Phase II of A Woman’s Garden, The Boswell Family Garden, The McCaslin Sunken Garden, The Martin Rutchik Concert Lawn and Stage, The Nancy Rutchik Red Maple Rill, The Nancy Clements Seay Magnolia Glade, The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden, the redesign of The Lay Family Garden, and most recently, A Tasteful Place and the Lagoon and Woodlands. He helped create the Arboretum’s nationally acclaimed plant trials program, generating great results for the horticulture industry and North Texas. Dave is the spokesperson and media representative across all platforms for the Dallas Arboretum.
