Inspired Beauty presents 5 master and contemporary artists who work in porcelain, the most refined and pure form of clay. Each one pushes the boundaries in unique ways attaining unbelievable artistry and beauty. Curtis Benzle constructs objects that are emotionally positive with color and a translucency that captures the beauty of the world. Jennifer McCurdy’s raw porcelain forms echo the grace of an ocean wave with a beauty that instantly connects us to a truthful and pure moment. Zemer Peled’s works are formed out of thousand of porcelain shards as she examines the beauty and brutality of the natural world. Claire Prenton’s work reflects the textures, patterns and minute detail found in shells, coral, driftwood, flowers and plants. She captures the essence of the subject, believing that it is the life and narrative in each piece that’s important. Thomas Hoadley’s process involves stacking layers of different colored clay and then slicing through a cross section revealing a pattern. Michael Kaiser’s watercolors evoke emotions through his masterful use of movement, light and color.
