Third Annual Earth Day Celebration:
The Ann Norton Partnership for Art, Science & the Natural World
Monday, April 22, 2019 – 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Through an innovative STEAM initiative, Earth Day at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens unites several local organizations who have formed an alliance to call attention to the day’s significance and educate students on actions they can take to protect our earth. Designed to embrace Ann Norton’s vision for maintaining an urban preserve that supports the coexistence of art, science and nature, Earth Day at ANSG will spotlight the missions of ANSG, The Everglades Foundation, FAU Pine Jog Environmental Education Center, Florida Crystals, Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Manatee Lagoon – An FPL Eco-Discovery CenterTM, and South Florida Science Center and Aquarium. Over 250 Title 1 students will travel through the Gardens to visit interactive learning stations presented by each partnering organization and participate in an ecological discovery hunt and celebrate the powerful intersection of art, science and the natural world. Additional presenters included Celis Produce, Youth Environmental Alliance, Palm Beach Day Academy Coral Project, Bee Barf Apiaries, and Friends of Palm Beach Beach.
