Literacy Days

Literacy Days, Story Times, Writing Workshops January 10 2012, the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens' is pleased to present its 5th Annual Literacy Days, In partnership with the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County and Palm Beach County Library, This one of a kind program provides over 700 students and teachers with a new and creative approach to reading and writing. Authors, illustrators and librarians inspire students grades K-3 and offer them the power of literacy. Children enjoy reading stations, poetry activities, and the unique beauty that is the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens. Made Possible through the generosity of Kids' Dreams Inc., Cynthia Sulzberger and Palm Beach Prayer Ministries. Teachers and students alike voted it there favorite school visit and can’t wait to return next year. "Thank you for an absolutely fabulous field trip! In my 16 years of teaching, I believe it is the best I have ever had the pleasure of attending. All staff and students agree with me on that! Kudos to you and all participating who made Literacy Day at the Ann Norton Sculpture Garden a HUGE success! We can't wait until next year! " Louise Barnett Forest Hill Elementary School Second Grade September 2011 - May 2012 Guided Tours and Writing Workshops The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens and partnering Language Arts Organizations will offer guided group visits and language arts writing workshops. These visits and workshops offer students the opportunity to view Waldman’s inspirational exhibition, reflect and write about their impressions and personal experiences.
